I received my yoga training through White Lotus in Romeo, Michigan. Prior to this I worked in the corporate world. I have a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations from Western Michigan University. Becoming a wife and a mother began to ruffle my "normal" from the inside out. Digging into the real core of who I am.
I knew there was more to life, more ways to connect to myself, a way to find a deeper connections in life. Yoga taught me to learn about Jana, the incredible woman that lived inside. I have opinions. I have desires. I have struggles. I have emotions that are important. I have a role in this world. I believe life should be treasured. Your most precious moments soaked into an eternal memory. Believing your purpose in life is to love and be loved. To honor yourself and others. To be kind to all.
Yoga has taught me the importance of breath and how powerful it can be. Linking breath with movement in a way to feel alive and loved. Using the strength of the body to move and heal. Class is a wonderful way to connect with yourself while also feeling like a part of the community. Knowing we all support each other and honoring where we are in life at the moment. A place for everyone to feel heard and wanted. A safe place to come and find YOU. A place where we will love YOU.
Lets all come together in this crazy thing called life and just connect, uplift and love! Sharing our stories. Living and learning. Day by day. Together forever!

I am a blessed wife and mother and loving them is my greatest joy. My family and friends fill my soul and daily remind and show me how loved I am. I love Jesus and He is my greatest teacher of all time. It was yoga that taught me stillness, and in stillness I hear God's voice and am reminded of my truth. I can't describe me without mentioning Jana, she is my best friend, my business partner and my person. Together, we welcome you with love and gratitude to Port Huron Yoga.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing. I have a passion for yoga and believe in it so much that one day I decided to quit my job as a Pharmaceutical Rep and become a yoga teacher! This has been one of my most impactful life changing decisions that I have ever made! I received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher training at Namaste in Royal Oak, MI and have been teaching yoga since 2014.
Having struggled in the past with body image, yoga has taught me how to connect with and love my body. It has taught me the power of breath and meditation and how to hear those whispers of the Holy Spirit. Yoga has been a gift to me, my mind and my body. It has brought me health, opened my heart and let go of so much tension and pressure I used to place on myself and on others.
I want to share this awareness with others and empower from within! I believe in community and coming together in a place that you feel loved and accepted brings healing and joy. I invite others to just come as they are, imperfectly perfect and I will never judge! I want people to know they are not alone. So let's practice together, learn together and grow together!
Hi! I was born and raised in the Port Huron area, love to read, sing karaoke, and spend time with family and friends. I began practicing yoga in 2012 as a way to relieve stress, develop self-acceptance, and gain confidence. I grew to love yoga and the positivity it created in my life.
In 2016, I made the decision to expand my knowledge of yoga and enrolled in teacher training. It was an experience I will always hold close to my heart. I completed training with Theresa May at Santosha Yoga in the fall of 2017 earning my RYT 200 certification.
I like to incorporate breath with movement in my classes. I believe yoga is for everybody and we all come to yoga for a different reason. Yoga is a practice, always evolving. My goal is to provide an accessible adaptive yoga environment where students can learn and grow in their practice on and off
I also have certifications in Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki - Master Level, Yoga for All, and Kids Yoga Foundations. To me, yoga is a lifelong journey of learning. I look forward to continuing this journey by learning from other students and teachers.
